How to become an approved member?
On your first attempt to post on our forum you will be prompted to request authorization to log in. If you're using an email address that our system recognizes from a previous Basecamp Outdoor Gear order, then we'll approve you asap. Otherwise, we'll contact you via email to request more information. Those who have purchased/rented from Basecamp Outdoor Gear in the past can simply provide us the order number and name associated with their order. For anyone else, you'll have to email us the question/comment you'd like to post to the account. We'll approve your Forum membership only if it is relevant.
In order to keep this forum clean, helpful, and relevant, please:
Respond only if you have direct experiences that answer a given question.
Keep posts relevant to the forum topic.
Respect each other.

All new members first go through us for approval. Keep in mind that it could take up to 24 hours to be approved. You'll receive confirmation by email.
We automatically update your member status by experience:
Trekker = Purchased items or rented at least once from Basecamp Outdoor Gear
Explorer = Rented/purchased at least once from Basecamp Outdoor Gear and contributes to the forum.
Venturer = Rented/purchased more than once from Basecamp Outdoor Gear and contributes to the forum.
Along with all public content in this forum, those with Trekker status and above also have access to exclusive Basecamp-only content.
To receive Trekker status:
When you first sign up as a new member, if your email matches a customer email we have on file, you'll automatically receive Trekker status. If your email does not match (because you traveled with someone else, for instance), please let us know your order number and name on the reservation and we'll set your status manually.
